•  Internationally Qualified Sonographers (any country) who are already working in the UK National Health Service (NHS) as non-obstetrics Sonographers.

Selection Process

• Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a workshop at King’s College London.
• Some candidates may take an entrance exam to claim credits for prior learning in General Medical Ultrasound and Physics modules.

Application Process

All applications are made through King’s Apply. Note that there is no separate scholarship application process. An £85 non-refundable application fee is required at the application stage. Scholarship applications in King’s Apply should be accompanied by the following documents:

1. A Personal Statement in the form of your Portfolio Introduction (limited to 4000 characters/1000 words). This outlines your existing skills and experience relevant to ultrasound, highlighting any gaps. For further guidance.
2. Completed UK Standards of proficiency skills gap analysis self-assessment form (Appendix A).
3. Evidence of prior qualifications and experience, including relevant certificates, transcripts and overseas registration (including registration number).
4. An up-to-date resume/CV.
5. Two references. One reference should be a headed letter of support from your current NHS employer or placement provider.
6. Employer’s Letter of Support (Appendix B).
7. Memorandum of agreement from placement (Appendix C).
8. Evidence of meeting King’s English Language requirements (if required). For English Language Requirements,
9. Evidence of the right to work or study in the UK (if required).
