1. Successful home-fee students will receive a £4,000 fee reduction if selected for this scholarship starting September 2025/26 academic year.

3. The application requires a personal statement of no more than 500 words explaining how they will use their master’s degree to create positive change to their community or region in line with Aston’s inclusive, entrepreneurial and transformational values.
4. Materials submitted must be the applicant’s own work.

Eligible Courses

• The scholarship applies to full-time Postgraduate Taught Programmes that are delivered at our Birmingham campus and lead to the award of MSc, MA or MBA.

Ineligible Courses

• The Scholarship does not cover Overseas Pharmacy Assessment Programme (OSPAP) and Physician Associate.
• Postgraduate Diplomas, Postgraduate Certificates, Masters by Research (MRES), PhDs, DBAs and other research degrees are also excluded.
• Students taking undergraduate integrated Master’s courses (for example MOptom, MPharm) are not eligible for this scholarship.
• Part time courses are also excluded.

Application Period

• The Scholarship is applicable to courses commencing in September 2025. The Scholarship does not apply to courses starting from September 2026.

Self-Financing Requirement

• To qualify for the Scholarship, you must be self-financing all your tuition fees.

Benefits

• The Scholarship provides a discount of £4,000 on the tuition fees for the first year of your eligible postgraduate taught course.

Duration of Scholarship

• The £4,000 discount applies only to the first year of the course.
• It does not extend to any subsequent years or repeating years as a result of withdrawing from, repeating or suspension of studies.

Other important Notice about the Aston Postgraduate Impact Scholarship

1. The Aston Postgraduate Impact Scholarship cannot be used in combination with any other scholarship or discount, for example the alumni discount.
2. Where a student is awarded/eligible for more than one scholarship or discount, Aston University will apply whichever is of the highest value for the applicant.
3. To be considered for the Scholarship, eligible Aston graduates must accept their offer for an eligible postgraduate taught programme and meet any additional requirements as outlined by the admissions team.
4. Statements will be judged on the level of expected positive impact on their local or regional community the student will make with their Masters qualification, whether their vision/plans are detailed, realistic and practical, to what extent they reflect Aston’s inclusive, entrepreneurial and transformational values, and to what extend their vision is personalized to their own strengths and ambitions.
5. Materials submitted must be the applicant’s own work.
6. Decisions on who is awarded the scholarships will be made by Aston University.
7. All decisions are final.
